A Merry Little Christmas To You!

Today I had to share this super cute card my daughter made but first let me tell you how it came to be that she made this card.

My daughter was "bored" and wanted us to go out an do something like go to Wal-Mart.  I told her I needed to get some crafting done and posted on my blog since I had been busy getting things ready for my giveaways in December.  Well long story short she sat down at my craft table and whipped out this beautiful card in a short time.  Then to top it off she took all the pictures for me to put on my blog.  And in true teenage fashion she said…"there, now you have no excuse so let's go".   How can you resist that….so off to Wal-Mart we went.  Obviously I didn't get to post it last night but wanted to share it with you today.

Here are all the pictures she took of this beautiful card…

Didn't she do a great job!!!

Happy New Year and My Pink Stamper Challenge!

I hope everyone had a great New Year's!  I know I did….so much so I didn't get much sleep at all!  I spent most of New Year's Day with my family and the rest of the time stalking blogs.

One of my "goals" for the new year is to challenge myself more creatively.  One thing I didn't really do last year was enter other people's challenges.  I saw them and saw the awesome things people created for those challenges but I didn't enter myself.  So for 2011 I am going to enter some challenges!!!

The first one I saw is My Pink Stamper.  This is for her design team.  She has only two spots open! The challenge is to make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite cartridge using her favorite colors Pink, Green, and Brown (other optional color of your choice).  So here is my entry…

The card is Pretty in Pink which is cut at 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2 and 8-1/4, the Pretty in Pink layer is 5-1/2 x 4-1/4, Chocolate Chip layer is 5-1/4 x 4, Old Olive layer is 5 x 3-3/4.  The bird is from Create a Critter (page 65) and is cut out at 4".

The inside…Chocolate Chip is 4 x 1-3/4 and Whisper White is 3-3/4 x 1-1/2.

I used the ticket corner punch, stampin' dimensionals and the stamp set Cheep Talk are all from Stampin' Up!

Until next time…have fun creating!!

p.s. I will picking the winner of the Rockin New Year's Blog Hop tonight and will post it by tomorrow.

Butterfly Card

I made this card for a 6 year old girl who just found out her cancer has returned.  Trish over at Techniques by Trish is hoping to get a TON of cards to put a smile on this girl's face.  You can see her post here.
