Happy New Year and My Pink Stamper Challenge!

I hope everyone had a great New Year's!  I know I did….so much so I didn't get much sleep at all!  I spent most of New Year's Day with my family and the rest of the time stalking blogs.

One of my "goals" for the new year is to challenge myself more creatively.  One thing I didn't really do last year was enter other people's challenges.  I saw them and saw the awesome things people created for those challenges but I didn't enter myself.  So for 2011 I am going to enter some challenges!!!

The first one I saw is My Pink Stamper.  This is for her design team.  She has only two spots open! The challenge is to make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite cartridge using her favorite colors Pink, Green, and Brown (other optional color of your choice).  So here is my entry…

The card is Pretty in Pink which is cut at 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2 and 8-1/4, the Pretty in Pink layer is 5-1/2 x 4-1/4, Chocolate Chip layer is 5-1/4 x 4, Old Olive layer is 5 x 3-3/4.  The bird is from Create a Critter (page 65) and is cut out at 4".

The inside…Chocolate Chip is 4 x 1-3/4 and Whisper White is 3-3/4 x 1-1/2.

I used the ticket corner punch, stampin' dimensionals and the stamp set Cheep Talk are all from Stampin' Up!

Until next time…have fun creating!!

p.s. I will picking the winner of the Rockin New Year's Blog Hop tonight and will post it by tomorrow.

Hello There! – 3×3 Card

It's amazing what you can do with some scraps!!  I needed a quick card in a hurry and put together this simple 3×3 card.  I used the Cheep Talk stamp set and a couple of circle punches along with the scallop circle punch.  Not bad for only having a few minutes to put something together!!

Another project with the Cheep Talk stamp set

Here is another simple project using the Cheep Talk stamp set. It is called a Brag Book.  I got this idea from Angie at Chic'n Scratch.  You can check out her video here

I haven't finished the inside which is why there is no picture of the inside but I loved the idea and and wanted to share this cute project.

The card stock is Pixie Pink that is retired from Stampin' Up but you could easily make this in any colour.
