Circle Shaped Card

I have been trying out some different shaped cards lately and decided to make a circle shaped card.   This was also my first attempt at doing some sort of doodling on my card.  Actually I have done a bit before but never posted the card.  I love how other people can add doodling to their cards but I don't seem to do it as well as I would like.  If you have any tips or tricks you use for doodling…please let me know!!

I used Elegant Edges and Birthday Cakes cartridges and My Creative Time's Many Greetings stamp set.

For those of you who aren't aware….I am hosting an It's My Elephantastic Birthday blog hop on August 20 to celebrate my one year of blogging.  There is some amazing talent in this hop come and check it out.  Here's the link to the facebook page.

Until next time…have fun creating!!

Exciting News and a Card!!!

First my exciting news…..I have been asked to be a part of Erica's Design Team over at My Cricut Craft Room!!!  There are so many talented people on the design team so please make sure you stop by.

Now on to my card….I wanted to make a quick and simple card.  I am fortunate to have a gypsy but I know not everyone has one so I thought I would make a card without the gypsy or the card feature on any cartridge.  I used the boot from the  Birthday Cakes cartridge.  I cut the base shadow blackout feature twice for the base of the card.  Then I cut the main boot and the other layer.

I then used a brad at the top of the card to hold the pieces together so now the card swings open.

This card does not have a sentiment so I am able to grab the card and add the appropriate sentiment later.

Until next time…have fun creating!!
