Questions on Treats I Make

I have had a couple of questions recently on how I make up a bunch of the various “treats” I do.  First off, I make a bunch at one time.  Most of the time I don’t have a set reason for making the treats.  So I will leave them “blank” as shown below.

I made a bunch of mint holders but didn’t have any one to give them to so I have these ready to decorate when they are needed.  The reason I usually leave them blank is that I don’t know if they are for a friend or a party etc.  That way it takes no time at all to add a sentiment or further decoration.

There are times where I make a treat project with a purpose in mind.  Those are decorated and given away right away.

Until next time…have fun creating!!

Popcorn Treats

Here’s a super cute treat I made recently.  It’s a mini bag of microwave popcorn all wrapped up and decorated.

I think they turned out super cute!

Chocolate Box Treats

Here’s a quick and simple treat you can whip up very quickly.  I used Stampin Up’s Tiny Treat Boxes (you get 25 of them in a package!!) and some Designer Series Paper Bright Colour Collection Paper Stack….that’s it.  I didn’t have time to do much more than that as my son took all the boxes to his friends.  (He also was kind enough to take a couple of pictures of some of them before he took them all!)

Easter Treats

Oh does it feel good to blog again.  I have been fortunate enough to get my own craft room and we have spent time painting and putting it together.  It’s now set up so I can craft and blog but it is still a work in progress.

I saw this awesome idea from Pootles and just had to make my own version.

Here’s how I made this project…

Designer Series Paper 11″ x 3 1/2″

Score on the long side at 1/2″, 1 1/4″, 9 3/4″, 10 1/2″

Score on the short side at 3/4″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/4″, 3″

I used the Word Window Punch from Stampin Up to punch a window.  You could use anything that will fit in the space.  I also used the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and added a rhinestone to the center.

I would love to see your version of this project.  Feel free to link it up here or post it on my Facebook Page here.

Until next time…have fun creating!!

Woo Hoo!!

My niece recently had a dance competition.  I thought I would make a whole bunch of treats for the girls and maybe some for the moms.

Here is what I came up with…

My sister had a chuckle when I showed them to her.  She advised me that her dance mom group name was Woo Hoo. I had no idea!  So it made it even more interesting.

Christmas Gift Card Holders

Well look at this… I am posting again!!!

First I would like to talk about Paper Pumpkin from Stampin’ Up again.  I have received many messages about it.  For those of you that are on the fence…try it!!!  What have you got to lose.  You can sign up for one month and if you do not like it you can cancel.  The best option right now is to get a three month subscription because you save a few dollars but it also qualifies you for one free item from Sale-A-Bration.  Here is the direct link to purchase Paper Pumpkin.  If you have any other question, please message me!

Now on to some projects I was working on…

Have you ever noticed the gift cards are all on the larger scale now.  Well I had a few to give as gifts at Christmas and I wanted something a little prettier to put them in.  With the Envelope Punch Board from Stampin’ Up you can make any size of envelope you would like.  It has to be one of my favourite punch boards.  I find I use it all of the time.  It’s not just for envelopes.  You can also make boxes with it.  I made some boxes for Christmas treats and will show that on another post.

See super cute and soooo easy to make.

Have you used the Envelope Punch Board?  If so, I would love to see what you have made with it.

Until next time…have fun creating!!

Tri-Fold Gift Card Holder

Here’s part two for my nephew’s birthday present.

I designed a tri-fold gift card holder for the slightly bigger gift cards.  Here’s the front…

Here’s the inside…

I think he liked it a lot!!

This past Friday I went to see Move Live On Tour with Julianne Hough and Derek Hough.  It was awesome.  I decided to make a little something for this event…..pinwheels.  Yep that’s right.  We were sitting in the second row and thought it would be fun and a little silly to wave them about.

I used a Paper Pumpkin kit from Stampin Up.  Here are a couple of the ones I made.

Oh and these definitely did work.  All of the dancers noticed these.

Until next time…have fun creating!!
