Celebrate You

My daughter celebrated her birthday last month.  Naturally I had to make her special gift card holders for her gifts.  When I make my gift card holders I usually do not close them up so that the recipient can reuse it.  This is no exception.  I also went with a simple sentiment as it gives my daughter many possibilities for reusing the gift card holder.

As per usual, I used the Envelope Punch Board to make the gift card holders.  The Envelope Punch Board is on sale right now.  You can check it out here.  Here’s the two gift card holders I made…

I also got a bunch of makeup brushes that she wanted and also had to make my own packaging for them.  Here’s what I came up with…

I used the 2, 4, 6, 8 templates.  These are super easy to make.  You can search for this box as there are many tutorials out there.

Ferrero Rocher treats

First let me say that this is not my original idea.  I got the inspiration while looking online.  I believe this particular project came from Teri Pocock.

I had to make these treat holders.  They each hold two ferrero rocher treats.

Aren’t they super cute!!?!

Updated Post-It Note Holder

I was in my craft room over the weekend working on some cute projects when I saw someone had commented on my blog.  She was looking for the instructions for a Post-It Note Holder I made awhile ago.  So I thought I would make this project for her and include all of the measurements I used.  So here we go…..

I started out with a piece of cardstock measuring 7 3/8″ x  3 1/4″.  I then scored the cardstock at 3 1/8″, 3 1/2″, 3 7/8″.  (Kind of hard to see the score lines in the picture.)

Fold on all of your score lines using a bone folder.  Next I folded the cardstock using the middle score line which is the 3 1/2″.  Take your scissors and make two small cuts up to the score line.

Next I added some adhesive.  Make sure you keep 3 1/8″ as the front of the holder.  I put the adhesive between the 3 1/2″ and 3 7/8″ score lines.

Next peel of the backing and adhere down.  Next add some adhesive to the back of your 3 x 3 post-it notes and adhere to the cardstock.

Next step is to add the pen.

And then decorate the front.

Happy Birthday Purse!?

When I made my  Happy Birthday Money Envelope I decided it needed a little something for it to go  into.  This is what I came up with.

There are many of these types of purses all over the internet.  I did alter mine to be a little smaller.

I tried my hand at making a notebook for someone who loves them.  This is only my second attempt at it and I am ok with how it turned out.  Now the ribbon obviously needs to be trimmed back a little but overall it looks good.

I think the person will like the inside of the book even better.

Happy Birthday Cassidy-part 4

Here is the final post from my niece’s birthday.  It’s her birthday cake.  Her mom…my sister made this cake.  The kids all went to Build-A-Bear for her birthday so that is where the idea came from.

How awesome is that!!!!
