Mini Post-It Note

I saw this cute little post-it note holder by Pootles.  You can find her version here.  I didn’t have the size of post-it notes she had but I did have some small ones which were 2 inches by 2 inches.  I adjusted her measurements and came up with this.

Updated Post-It Note Holder

I was in my craft room over the weekend working on some cute projects when I saw someone had commented on my blog.  She was looking for the instructions for a Post-It Note Holder I made awhile ago.  So I thought I would make this project for her and include all of the measurements I used.  So here we go…..

I started out with a piece of cardstock measuring 7 3/8″ x  3 1/4″.  I then scored the cardstock at 3 1/8″, 3 1/2″, 3 7/8″.  (Kind of hard to see the score lines in the picture.)

Fold on all of your score lines using a bone folder.  Next I folded the cardstock using the middle score line which is the 3 1/2″.  Take your scissors and make two small cuts up to the score line.

Next I added some adhesive.  Make sure you keep 3 1/8″ as the front of the holder.  I put the adhesive between the 3 1/2″ and 3 7/8″ score lines.

Next peel of the backing and adhere down.  Next add some adhesive to the back of your 3 x 3 post-it notes and adhere to the cardstock.

Next step is to add the pen.

And then decorate the front.

Notepad Holder and a GIVEAWAY!!!

Wow…..how I missed crafting!!!  It had to take a back seat for a little bit to tend to family matters.  As some of you know, my daughter was in a car accident.  Needless to say that took priority.  So I thought what better way to kick off a welcome back then do a giveaway!!!  Who doesn’t love a giveaway??!!

While up for many nights browsing some fantastic websites I came across this one that inspired my project for today.  She has a great tutorial on these.  Here’s my notepad holder.

Now for the GIVEAWAY….

Instead of leaving a comment (although I do enjoy reading each and ever one of them) I was thinking it may be fun to do a linky party.  So leave your link below.  I will pick a winner Tuesday, March 27, 2012.

Christmas Post-It Note Holders – How To

I have had quite a few emails and a few comments asking me for the instructions to the Christmas Post-It Note Holders as seen below…

P1010688

So I thought I would attempt to explain how I made them.

Cut a piece of cardstock 8-1/2" x 3-1/4".

Score the cardstock at 2", 2-1/2", 5-3/4" and 6-1/4".

Cut a piece of pattern paper 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" and score the pattern paper at 1/2".

Attach your pattern paper to the cardstock so that the 1/2" score line matches up with the 2" score line on the cardstock.  It should look something like this.

I used my crop-a-dile to punch two small holes for my ribbon to go through.

P1010700

I cut a piece of ribbon approximately 8-1/2", threaded it through the holes and tied knots on each of the ends.  I then used my ATG to add adhesive to the back of the post-it note pad and attached inside.

Next step is to add a closure of some sort….I used velcro.  Then decorate as you like.

I hope this helps you out.  If you have any questions just let me know!!

Until next time…have fun creating!!

Christmas Post-It Note Holders

I like to make post-it note holders as they are pretty handy and fit in the purse nicely.  Last year my family took my whole stash so I thought I would get prepared and make some more for this year.  Here's a few of them…
