Happy Birthday Emma!

Here’s a super cute gift I made for a friend’s daughter.  Nothing too fancy, but that is what I like about it.  I used the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die which you can find here.  Now this item is retiring from Stampin’ Up.  Hopefully there is still stock left by the time this posts.

I was lucky enough to attend the Stampin’ Up Onstage in Toronto and I cannot wait for you to see some of the new products.  If you are in Canada and do not have a demonstrator and would like the new catalogue when it becomes available, please send me an email and I will make sure you receive one.

Until next time, have fun creating!!

Stylized Birthday

This past weekend was my husband’s birthday.  We got him some hockey tickets which he loved.  I couldn’t just hand over the generic envelope with the team logo on it.  I had to make a super cute and simple envelope using the envelope punch board.  The stamp comes from Stampin’ Up and is called Stylized Birthday.

I think it turned out really cute.

Happy Birthday Shannon West!

For those of you that don’t know who Shannon West is….well I have posted about her recently.  You can check out that post here.  She started the #imbringingbirthdaysback movement.  Well she just had her birthday so you  know I had to make her a card.  Here it is…

The background is from the bonus stamp set from the April Paper Pumpkin kit.  The stamp set is Stampin Up Perfect Pennants.  I used the Banner Framelits Dies to cut it out.  I hope she likes it!

Until next time…have fun creating!!

Sparkly Birthday Card

I needed a birthday card for a girl that LOVES her bling.  After playing with ideas, here is what I came up with…

I forgot to take a picture of the inside (darn) but it does say Happy Birthday to you.  I also added a strip of the gold washi tape from Sale-A-Bration to the bottom of the card.

I am sure she will love it.

Card details

Card base is from a pre-made card.

Balloons – Balloon Bouquet Punch

Paper – Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper, Gold Glimmer Paper

A Birthday Wish – Masculine

Today is something that is out of my comfort zone.  It’s a masculine card.  It’s something that a number of paper crafters have difficulty creating.  Here’s a card I made at a class I attended.  Perfect to give to any male!

Card Base – Whisper White – 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″

Sahara Sand – 4 1/4″ x 1 1/2″

Stamp set – Remembering Your Birthday – Stampin Up

Stamp set – Gorgeous Grunge

Stamp set – Going Global

Designer Series Paper – Going Places Paper Stack – Stampin Up

Baker’s Twine – Whisper White

Ink – Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Delightful Dijon, Sahara Sand

Until next time…have fun creating!!

Happy Birthday Kelly

As you already know I have busy with my new craft room.  I did manage to make my sister a birthday card for her 41st birthday in March.  So I used the new Balloon Bouquet Punch from Stampin Up to help me out.

Here’s what I came up with…

The card is a full 8 1/2″x 11″ piece of card stock folded in half.  The Designer Series Paper is from the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack

Here is the inside of the card…

I cut out 41 balloons in total.  I also used some Wink of Stella on some of the balloons.  The sentiment comes from a Sale-A-Bration set called Perfect Pairings (unfortunately it’s no longer available).

Until next time…have fun creating!!

This "movement" was started by Shannon West of Stampin Up.  Here's a excerpt of her post to explain…

By Shannon West, Demonstrator Training Manager

It started one Saturday in January. I was kicking myself for not sending out my Christmas cards, but I also noticed that many friends had simply posted their Christmas cards on Facebook rather than sending them in the mail. For years I’ve complained about Facebook ruining birthday cards and now it would seem the same was happening to Christmas cards. A handmade, handwritten card in the mailbox seemed to be nearly extinct—and I was contributing to the problem! I wanted to do something drastic and immediate to stop this neglect and hold myself accountable.

So that Saturday in January, I made a decision: I posted on Facebook that I would send a birthday card to any of my friends that wanted one. I didn’t think about the possibilities or consequences…I just posted and was astonished when the responses started rolling in.

After 24 hours, I had over 300 responses…far more than I had ever received on a previous post. I started a spreadsheet to keep track and went to work making and sending birthday cards.

Two days later, I posted a photo of my first set of cards that I was sending. At this point, my posts started to be shared and others started posting that they were also sending cards to their friends. These results were an absolute surprise!

As my friends began receiving their cards, they posted photos of them on social media to thank me. This sparked another idea: there needed to be a way to easily see all the cards—my cards and others’ cards too—so that we could see all the different ideas to CASE (Copy And Share Everything). Playing on the lyrics of a Justin Timberlake song, the hashtag #imbringingbirthdaysback was born! I wanted to stamp it on each card so that the receiver would know to use the hashtag if they posted the card, so I carved my very own #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp.

So this got me thinking….I would like to do this too!!  I would love to send out cards to friends.  So what do you need to do…..simple.  Email me your information….birthday, name, address.  Now if your birthday has passed I would still like to send you out a card.  Maybe a Happy Belated Birthday card or maybe Happy Spring….who knows but don't worry if your birthday has passed.  All I ask is that you send it to me by email (creativecraftcorner@rogers.com) or facebook message.  Please don't leave all your information in the comments.

Until next time…have fun creating!!

Happy Birthday to You

It was my cute little niece’s birthday recently and I naturally had to make her a birthday card.  I used a lot of products from the birthday collection from Stampin Up.  They are fun and super easy to use to create cards.

I loved it so much that I had to make my mother one for her birthday as well….
